Climbing out of the desert
Tough time now for Shu. It’s really hot, as in 45 degrees at the peak of the day, and we have a lot of up. She’s also working on 30mins of sleep in the last 24 hours and 300 miles.
The road surface shimmers and stretches out in a straight line as far as the eye can see and buzzards circle above. Seriously.
Only 273 people have made it across, in the time, solo.
We are trying to keep strava up to date so check out the stats therehttp://www.strava.com/athletes/393857
There’s a logistics challenge with no RV allowed on route for food preparation for a while now. On the plus side for the RV and support vehicle we are off to a BBQ hosted for RAAM crew. Apparently there are paddling pools.
